Is It Easter Already?

My goodness Easter is next week!
Where has the last few months gone?

Back in January I tweeted that I'd already spotted hot cross buns at the supermarket.
While it was ridiculously early, I still bought a pack, smothered them in butter, then the kids and I gobbled them all up!
Now I have just come back from Bakers Delight with a 6 pack of choc chip hotties for the kids
(maybe I better try just one to make sure they are ok!)
for the start of school hols this weekend.
YUM!

I'm pulling out the easter decorations today so Miss A and I
can decorate the house.
We don't go as overboard as Christmas, but it's just enough to give the house a sprinkling of easter goodness!
Miss A also turns 4 over the easter break so we have a double celebration!

Up at the other Cupcake Wrapper HQ, Natalie has a gorgeous array of vintage decorations so her house will be looking very spiffy too.

Our easter cupcake wrappers have been super popular.
Some people have mentioned they will pop their hot cross buns in them or even use them to hold easter eggs.
If you glued a bottom on them and a pipe cleaner handle they would make a very cute little basket!
A fun easter hols activity for the kidlets.

A pack of 12 wrappers is $14.95.
They also look lovely when mixed with our stripes, stars or spots.
You can get them from selected stockists or order from us directly so you get them in time for next week.

Also look out for us in the Sunday Age M Mag this weekend.
There is a story about The Cucpake Wrapper Co's easter cupcake wrappers!
We will get out scrapbookks ready!!

You can also read up on some cute easter ideas at
Kid Independant
A fabulous new Kids (obviously!) website.

We will post some pics of an easter decorated Cupcake Wrapper HQ soon.
Hippity Hoppity!

To Market, To Market

Phew....
What a week!

The Cupcake Wrapper Co has just done the market blitz!
Mathilda's Market at Hawthorn Town Hall last Sunday followed by
Magnolia Square at St.Kilda Town Hall on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
We are pooped!

What a great week though.
It was fabulous to get out there and spread the word about our wrappers.
Our stall was set up slightly differently each time.
But our overall look was very vintagey and pretty.

We met so many fabulous customers who just loved our product!
We also met lots of lovely stall holders who we swapped tips with, had a laugh with and even popped the champers with on those long days!

Amanda from Dames and Divas

Rebecca from Little Rivet Jeans

Mara from Printspace

Also dropping by to say hello was Sheryl from Cupcake Central
She had come direct from supplying the cupcakes from the Hussy
parade at LMFF.
And just look what she brought in for us....

She is soooo clever!
Look at our logo she printed on rice paper.
And the cupcakes were delicious!

Finally we were so very proud and excited when we were awarded
'My Favorite Product' award from stylist guru
Wendy Bannister - Melbourne Editor of one of our fave mags, Home Beautiful.

Oops...I also forgot to mention we had our first TV appearance too!
Channel 9 Postcards did a lovely little spot on The Cupcake Wrapper Co at the Mathildas Market.
Pia showed off our wrappers perfectly!
(We didnt wan't to stand too cause to her as she is sooooo gorgeous!!)

This segment will air in September - we will have our VCR's ready!

Thanks to Anne Lewis for these happy snaps!

It was a wrap at 4pm on Saturday.
It was all worth it and we cant wait to do it all again!
But first lets just slip into our tracky, put our feet up, grab a cuppa and
relax....

(I think this may the 1st photo of both of us on the blog...eek!)

Hello Yellow!

We are very excited to share with you the latest addition to our
cupcake wrapper range

Hello Yellow!
A while ago we had a blog asking our readers which color would you like to see us do as a wrapper and guess what?
Yellow won!
So here it is!
Our yellow cupcake wrappers burst onto the scene in a big way.
It was a mad dash on Friday arvo to get them to
The Big Group in time for the weekend...
but they made it.
Phew!
Then they made their exclusive appearance at the
Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Launch Party
at Government House (no less!).
Apparently the Melbourne fashionista's just lurved them dahling!

(Thanks to our peep @jfnolen for the inside squizz!)

You will also be able to catch a glimpse of our yellow bunny wrappers at
the new Capital Kitchen at Chaddy.
A great place for a caffine fix after all that retail therapy!
We have only done a small run of yellow.
Our yellow range has
spots
stripes
stars
easter bunny
At this stage it only available directly through us.
Email us to order or visit our Etsy store.

Depending on how successful it is, we may keep it in our range.
Personally it is my new favorite.
I love it!

This Sunday we will be involved in our very first market.
When we started The Cupcake Wrapper Co, one of our goals to make it into several of the boutique markets around Melbourne, and now our time has come!

Mathilda's Market is at the lovely old Hawthorn Town Hall.
There are so many wonderful retailers showing their wares.
I hope we will be able to squeeze in a bit of wander to see what gorgeous goodies we can find!

If you can't wait until Sunday, check out the Mathilda's Market website to see who will be there.

We will be right inside the front door - you wont miss us!
Please come and say "Hello"
We would love to meet you!

SPECIAL OFFER
Pre-order your cupcake wrappers and buy them for only $13.00.
That's a saving of $1.95.

Your order will be all wrapped up and waiting for you at our stall on Sunday!

If you are in Melbourne you could make a great day out and come along.
Then you could pop down to the Camberwell Sunday Market to find a few treasures and have a couple of hot donuts..mmmm!
There are lots of fab cafes all around Hawthorn, Kew and Camberwell too.

We hope to see you there!

Boys...Boys...Boys

When most people think of cupcakes, they tend to think of pretty high teas, pink frosting and little girls in piggy tails at a birthday party.
The Cupcake Wrapper Co. HQ is full of girls, we have four between the two of us!
We have to remind ourselves of the boy factor every now and again too!

But of course boys love cupcakes too.

And why not - they are delicious!

When we launched our cupcake wrappers we did have a few
requests for more 'boy' designs.
For those of you who have been following us for some time, you might even remember we did a poll on our blog to findout which boy design
you would like to see.
The cowboy design was an overwhelming "Yes Please!"

We love the YeeHa cowboy design and our rope font.
This is pretty cool with Toy Story making a comeback too!

Our friend Amy at Giggleberry Buntings recently used our blank cupcake wrappers to make fabulous pirate wrappers for little man's 1st birthday.
Amy stuck pirate stickers all over them, and also used our red spot wrappers for her theme as well.
How fantastic do they look?

The sky is the limit on how you can work our cucpake wrappers into your boy's birthday party.
The blue, red and green will work a treat - especially with our dots, stars and stripes, and not forgetting our Happy Birthday cupcake wrapper.

Have fun with your fella's!

The Wedding Season

I Do!

We are well into the swing of the wedding season here is Australia.
There have been so many wedding blogs contact us to feature our lovely cupcake wrappers - we really appreciate it.

We both got married many moons ago.
Back in the day when we only had Martha as an inspiration
(she still is a big inspiration for us in oh-so many ways!)
There are so many incredibly beautiful blogs and websites that brides can use these days - you are all so lucky to have these resources at your fingertips.

In fact my hubby and I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary this year!
Traditionally we are supposed to exchange TIN gifts for this milestone.
What in the world is made from tin that is worthy of being a gift?

A shed roof?

I would much prefer something like this!!
Well honestly who wouldn't!!
Phew...its a whopper and very beautiful, but somehow I think I will be waiting for quite some time for something like this.
Keep dreaming.....

Our lovely new Morocco designs & our Baroque designs look gorgeous when mixed with our stipes or dots.
These can be used for wedding cakes, engagement cakes, bridal showers...anything really

For something different you could even use our Decorate Me! cupcake wrappers for a fun thing to do at Kitchen Tea or Hen's Party

If any brided are interested in using our cupcake wrappers for their special event, please contact us and we can send you some samples.
