Getting into the Christmas spirit - literally!

Due to popular demand from our gorgeous tweeps here are the recipes
for our festive favorites

Shortbread
&
Eggnog

SHORTBREAD

2 cups of plain flour
2/3 cup of caster sugar
2 teaspoons of riceflour
250 grams of butter
Put all ingredients into food processor and whizz till mix resembles breadcrumbs.
Best if butter is not too cold.
This makes it easier to shape your shortbread without it being too crumbly.
Shape into balls and squish a bit.
For festive touch, add silver balls or other cake/cookie decorations that can go in the oven.

Put in 160 degrees oven for about 12 - 15 minutes.

EGGNOG

6 eggs - separated
185gr caster sugar
165ml rum
300ml brandy
600ml cream
600ml milk
nutmeg to sprinkle

Mix sugar and egg yolks till creamy, thick & pale.
Add rum & brandy - beat in well.
Whisk in milk & cream.
Whip egg whites until stiff.
Fold milk mix into stiff whites.
It will be lumpy.
Best stores in a glass jar.
Serve with a sprinkle of nutmeg.

We have this every Christmas Eve while we wrap all the pressies
and listen to
Carols By Candlelight.
Love it!

Guaranteed not to last long!
