Well today I am going to share a little secret that I actually find hard to admit.
Especially saying it aloud and admitting to myself, let alone sharing it on our blog for all and sundry to read.
My name is Kathy and I am obsessive.
There I said it.
I am obsessive about a few things.
I will only share a couple, as the more I list, the more I might actually realise I have a slight problem...eeekk!
Ebay
and
Perfume
This obsession started when I was young.
I distinctly remember going to the State Bank of Victoria with Mum and loving the perfume the teller was wearing.
As I was at High School & Uni I loved Oscar de la Renta, Anais Anais, Opium, and course any Estee perfume like Beautiful or even White Linen.
Then I moved onto the heavy duty ones like Van Cleef & Arpels First, YSL Paris and Dior's Poison (so 80's!).
My girlfriends even wrote about this obsession in my 21st speech.
Then there was the horrendous Bali perfume experience.
Dad bought me back a bottle of 'Opium'.
Goodness knows what they put in that bottle, but I am sure it would curled a cats' whiskers!
Then came the Calvin era; Eternity, CK One.
Sometimes depending on the weather I sometimes flick back to some old faves for a fleeting dalliance;
Donna Karan Cashmere Mist, Perscriptives Calyx, Chanel Coco.
On my wedding day I wore the first and original fave Oscar de la Renta.
Such a classic.
When I was pregnant with my 1st daughter I had to wear Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. Can't stand it now!
Who knows why I love them so much.
But thank goodness for Strawberry Net and Ebay to get them so much cheaper!
I only ever wear one at a time and usually I become attached to a scent for over 12 months, but I still love lining them all up on my dressing table.
My 2nd daughter, who is nearly 4, seems to have taken on this obsession as she finds old, half empty bottles and douses herself, then carries them around in her little handbag!
My fave right now is Chanel No.5 Eau Premiere.
Love it!
Natalie's fave is Lolita Lempicka.
So here is a good segue....
